Jill Hennessy
The Edmonton native is with a mix of Irish, Italian and Swedish roots, along with French, Ukrainian French and Swedish. Jacqueline's sister is an actor as well. Jill was fluent in many languages throughout her childhood. It were Italian, French, and Spanish. After the age of 12, she became interested in acting. Her acting career began in Toronto as she was the actress in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her sister. In the following years, she was studying improv at Second City with Deb Kimmet. After moving from New York, Claire signed a contract for two years to join Law & Order to be the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid. In the three years that she was in New York and worked on several feature films including RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1996) and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). In the following years, she was offered roles in some forgettable films and in 1999, she was offered a leading role in the micro-series uremberg in a role with Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York, Exit Wounds and other major productions would follow. She was the main character for The NBC Crime comedy Crossing Jordan in 2001. In 2007, she was honored with the Gracie Allen Award for "Outstanding female character in a drama" in appreciation of her work on the series. In 2000, she got married to the actor who played her Paolo Mastropietro. They have two children. In 2007, she was awarded an honorary place at the Canadian Walk of Fame.
