Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in the year 1980. Her birthplace was Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. She has Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen discovered a passion to perform on a young stage. Her audition was in 1992 and was offered the role of Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent before she was 13 and she was cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. Then, she also began private acting lessons. Bell had a minor role that was not credited to her for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a part of the music and drama club at Shrine Catholic High School. She was the star of Dorothy in the school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student at the Tisch School of the Arts which she attended to study Musical Theater in New York City. In 2001, Bell quit her university in order to play the role of Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. The same year, she had her first credit debut with Pootie Tang (2001), however her character was deleted and her appearance exists only in the credit sequence. Bell appeared in Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
