Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor who is best known as a character on the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in college, he started to pursue a passion for acting. At the University of Colorado at Boulder it was where he studied acting. While he's appeared on film and television however it is his roles on the smaller screen that gave him popularity and much fan following.
