Christopher Peter Meloni has been known as a well-known American actor for a number of years. He is most known for the roles he played in "Law & Ordinance Special Victims Unit". In college, he began to pursue a passion for acting. While at his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. He was also active in TV and film but his performances on small screens have earned him a lot of popularity. His ability to play characters in both legal and non-legal settings is a draw for audiences. His initial project was a television show, and later, he played as a detective with the NYPD. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he's received many nominations for highly coveted Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. The actor is famous for his blue piercing eyes that have been a signature and helped create a charismatic character for tough roles. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
