Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous for his role as the star of the well-known TV series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in university Christopher Meloni was interested in the acting world. He studied acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he worked on TV and film, his roles on the small screen are what brought him much fame. It is no surprise that his characters have been able to capture audiences' attention by playing characters on both side of the legal system. The first show he worked on was a TV serial and later, he played as a detective with the NYPD. He has been nominated multiple times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his small screen performances. Eyes that are piercing blue on his face have been deemed as the most captivating characteristic. The eyes have been employed for portraying rough characters, as well as give them a sense of humour. The People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured him.
